It takes a lot for an artist to trust an organization with their precious creations.
Calling their music ‘assets’ instead of their own flesh and blood is a change to the way they think about what their music may mean to others and how, through trusted organizations they can earn from their art.
It’s not a path I take lightly with artists ensuring I can give them as much communication and feedback as is possible.

According to some sources, Box.NET may have been used to spread content prior to release date, and the RIAA is primarily interested in those select users.
I’m not convinced hosed disc space provides any advantages to the file sharing community over p2p platforms. I guess it’s just another way to share files so the RIAA just need to keep the pressure on.
